Beautiful Shoreline - Rich in History

Shoreline, founded in 1890 with the settling of the Richmond Beach neighborhood, is a friendly residential area with a population of nearly 53,000. Seattle Met Magazine recently listed Richmond Beach as one of its top 15 “must live” neighborhoods in the Seattle Metropolitan area, while Shoreline was named to the Money Magazine top 100 Best Places to Live.

The City of Shoreline, as the name suggests, is built on the shores of Puget Sound and boasts more than 400 acres of parks and open spaces, and over three miles of beach on the Sound. Hill’s is located in the midst of this stunning Northwest beauty. Within walking distance is Richmond Beach Park, where you can take in breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains and the Kitsap Peninsula while walking the beach. The park is popular with walkers and families who want to picnic in a scenic open space. The Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, a local Shoreline landmark, is also located nearby. Built in 1958 by a University of Washington professor, it is now a private residence open seasonally and by appointment for tours and workshops.

Nearby Edmonds also has a wealth of outdoor and cultural activities. Throughout the summer, the beautiful waterfront city hosts concerts in the park and a weekly Farmer’s Market. The Edmonds Arts Festival, recently voted Western Washington’s “Best Street Fair”, is a three-day festival in June that has been held every year since 1957. Enjoy world-class performances in the Edmonds Center for the Arts or the Wade James Theater. For the more adventurous, the Edmonds Underwater Park is a popular scuba diving destination located right off of Downtown Edmonds and the Edmonds Ferry Terminal. The Marina at the Port of Edmonds is also one of the largest covered marinas on the West Coast.

So why not spend your day exploring and your evening at Hill’s? We hope to see you soon!
